Aaron Bean, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 4th district since 2023, has been vocal on social media about his efforts to reduce government spending and promote efficiency. On November 25, 2024, he addressed the issue of unused federal office space.

In a tweet posted on November 25, 2024, Bean highlighted the financial burden on American taxpayers due to underutilized federal office spaces. He stated: “Right now, American taxpayers are forced to pay $2 BILLION a year for office space—almost half the size of Disney World—that federal employees refuse to use. This is the exact type of waste @DOGE will crackdown on!”

Later that day, Bean expressed his enthusiasm for collaboration with Senator Joni Ernst in expanding the House DOGE Caucus into a bicameral effort. He tweeted: “So glad to have @SenJoniErnst on board to help make the House DOGE Caucus a Bicameral effort.” This indicates an ongoing effort to involve both chambers of Congress in addressing government inefficiencies.

On November 26, 2024, Bean further emphasized his commitment by announcing his partnership with Senator Rick Scott as part of the bicameral DOGE Caucus. He wrote: “I can’t wait to work with @SenRickScott as part of our Bicameral @DOGE Caucus. Together we will rid Washington of its reckless spending once and for all!” This statement underscores his dedication to curbing what he perceives as unnecessary government expenditure.
