U.S. Congressman Aaron Bean has announced the commencement of the 2025 Congressional App Challenge (CAC) for Florida’s Fourth Congressional District. This annual event encourages students to develop original software applications, offering them a platform to showcase their creativity and coding skills.
Participants in the competition will have their apps evaluated, with the winner receiving an opportunity to have their creation displayed in the U.S. Capitol and featured on the U.S. House of Representatives website. Additionally, they will be invited to attend the #HouseofCode reception at Capitol Hill.
Congressman Bean expressed his enthusiasm for the challenge: “The Congressional App Challenge is an exciting opportunity for students to explore the world of coding, creativity, and innovation. By participating, young innovators can develop original apps that solve real-world problems, sharpen their STEM skills, and become the tech leaders of tomorrow. I encourage all eligible students to take part in this competition and turn their ideas into reality. The future of innovation starts with you.”
This initiative aims to test students’ abilities in coding and computer science while enhancing their knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). It also provides a chance for participants to explore potential career paths in these fields.
The challenge is open to middle and high school students within the Fourth Congressional District. Registration is now open on the Congressional App Challenge website, with a submission deadline set for October 30, 2025.
