Today’s vote restores the border, secures energy dominance, backs peace through strength, rebuilds our military, and most importantly, it is the first step to preventing the largest tax hike in U.S. history,” stated Congressman Bean. The Senate Amendment to H.Con.Res.14 establishes a budgetary framework for fiscal year 2025, also setting budget levels for the fiscal years 2026 through 2036. The bill, which passed narrowly by a vote of 216-214, focuses on several key areas. These include securing the border, investing in defense, enhancing America’s energy potential, and maintaining Medicaid for vulnerable populations. Additionally, it aims to prevent what officials describe as the largest tax increase in U.S. history.
