The Bolles School issued the following announcement.
The Bolles girls’ and boys’ cross country teams swept the team titles at the Region 1-2A meet for the sixth straight season. The Bulldogs also won both individual titles for the fifth time in the last six years.
The Bolles girls swept the top seven individual places, led by repeat region winner Jillian Candelino ’23. She was followed by Maxine Montoya ’21 (2nd), Madelyn Popp ’22 (3rd), Ella Mickler ’23 (4th), Layne Rivera ’21 (5th), Leila Bata ’24 (6th) and Hadley Ropp ’22 (7th).
Cole Rutkowski ’21 led the Bolles boys as the individual winner with all seven runners placing in the top 13. Matthew McClure ’22 (4th), Colin Duhnoski ’22 (8th), Aidin Hasan ’21 (9th), Will Camp ’21 (10th), Aidan Ryan ’23 (11th) and Will Morales ’24 (13th) completed the boys’ line-up.
The teams advanced to the state meet on Friday, November 13, in Tallahassee. The girls will race at 10:20 a.m. and the boys will race at 10:55 a.m. A live broadcast will be available on the NFHS Network (subscription required).
