Bolles School issued the following announcement on July 22.
After being named among the top 50 age group coaches in the country earlier in July, Bolles School Sharks Head Age Group Coach Dale Porter has been named a Top Ten Age Group Coach of the Year, announced by the American Swimming Coaches Association on July 21. Porter will be honored at the 2021 ASCA World Clinic Award Banquet on September 16 at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando. The overall Coach of the Year for 2021 will be revealed at the banquet.
These coaches are selected based on USA Swimming’s national rankings data for 12 and under swimmers. Coaches received bonus points for number of #1 rankings, for number of different swimmers ranked, and for number of total rankings.
Porter has coached at Bolles since 2010 and for more than 30 years total. He guided the Bolles Sharks to Top 100 Age Group Team accolades in 2021, determined by top 20 individual national rankings for swimmers in the 9-10 and 11-12 age groups.
