Jacksonville University issued the following announcement on July 21.
The Jacksonville University beach volleyball team announced Morgan Dees as the program's graduate assistant for the upcoming season. The Georgia native competed on JU's beach volleyball team for four seasons and indoor volleyball team for one season.
In her last year as a member of the beach volleyball team, Dees played exclusively at the 1s pair with Shaylee Befus and recorded seven wins on the season. She became the second-winningest player in JU beach volleyball history with 28 duel wins and finished the season with a win over North Alabama in the ASUN Beach Volleyball Championships. Outside of volleyball, Dees shined in the classroom and was named to the ASUN All-Academic Team.
"Morgan will be instrumental in our continued culture upgrade here at JU," head coach Dylan Hough said. " Morgan has competed and succeeded in every facet as a member of the indoor and beach volleyball teams and we could not be more excited for her to be able to share her experiences with our incoming class."
