July 27 Olympic Update – Another Medal for Murphy ’13

Bolles School issued the following announcement on July 27.

Ryan Murphy ’13, a three-time gold medalist in 2016, added to his and the Bolles medal count as he earned the bronze in the 100 back on July 26. Former Bolles swimmers have won a total of 23 Olympic medals, including three so far in the 2020 Games.

Caeleb Dressel swam in the 100 free prelims on July 27, placing second in heat 9 with the second fastest overall time in all heats. He will swim in the first heat of the semifinals on July 27 at 9:30 p.m. ET. Dressel did not swim in the prelims of the men’s 4x200 free relay but will possibly swim in the final on July 27 at 11:26 p.m. USA placed fifth overall in the prelims.

Joseph Schooling ’14 swam in the 100 free prelims as well, placing sixth in his heat and 39th overall.

Ryan Murphy ’13 (USA) – 200 back prelims, heat 3, July 28, 6:26 a.m. ET (semifinals 10:04 p.m./finals, July 29, 9:50 p.m.); (possibly) mixed 4x100 medley relay (heats July 29, 7:17 a.m./finals July 30, 10:43 p.m.); (possibly) men’s 4x100 medley relay (heats July 30, 8:01 a.m./finals July 31, 10:36 p.m.).

Caeleb Dressel (USA) – 100 free semifinals, heat 1, July 27, 9:30 p.m. ET (finals July 28, 10:37 p.m.); 100 fly prelims (heat 8) on July 29 at 7:01 a.m. (semifinals 9:30 p.m./finals July 30, 9:30 p.m.); 50 free prelims (heat 10) on July 30 at 6:20 a.m. (semifinals 10:11 p.m./finals July 31, 9:30 p.m.); (possibly) 4x200 free relay finals, July 27, 11:26 p.m.; (possibly) mixed 4x100 medley relay (heats July 29, 7:17 a.m./finals July 30, 10:43 p.m.); (possibly) men’s 4x100 medley relay (heats July 30, 8:01 a.m./finals July 31, 10:36 p.m.)

Santo Condorelli ’13 – 100 fly prelims (heat 8) on July 29 at 7:01 a.m. (semifinals 9:30 p.m./finals July 30, 9:30 p.m.); 50 free prelims (heat 10) on July 30 at 6:20 a.m. (semifinals 10:11 p.m./finals July 31, 9:30 p.m.)
