First School Year Chapel and Third Grade Bible Presentations

2

Episcopal School of Jacksonville recently issued the following announcement.

The Beaches Campus community celebrated the first Chapel of the 2021-2022 school year this morning at St. Paul’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church. The Rev. Teresa Seagle, Dean

of Spiritual Life and Service, led Chapel and shared a reading from the Book of First Timothy. Her homily challenged students to prepare their hearts for the start of a new year by

practicing Godliness in their words and actions. “Scars on the outside show what we have been through but unkind words can scar and hurt someone from the inside,” said The

Rev. Teresa Seagle. She requested students see their call to action each day as finding three ways to reach out to someone in a kind way. Third grade students received their

Adventure Bibles during a special presentation after the homily. The Rev. Teresa Seagle and Leslie Sale, Christian Education teacher, passed out the students personalized Bibles

and prayed over them. The Bible presentation is a special tradition on the Beaches Campus.
