University of North Florida issued the following announcement on Sept. 15.
North Florida Head Men's Basketball coach Matthew Driscoll announced the addition of newcomer Brandon Rasmussen to the Osprey roster for the upcoming 2021-22 season.
Rasmussen, a native of the U.S. Virgin Islands, comes to UNF following a prep playing career at Free Will Baptist Christian School. He averaged 23.0 points per game during his senior season for the Warriors. Rasmussen owns career best performances of 39 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists. He spent the 2020-21 season doing post-graduate work at the Potters House Academy in Jacksonville, Fla.
A 6-4, 183-lbs guard, Rasmussen participated in the 2021 FIBA Championships as a member of the U.S. Virgin Island U17 national team. During the tournament, he averaged 9.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while connecting at a 34 percent clip from the 3-point line.
