Whitehurst Robotics Students Begin Service Work

Bolles School issued the following announcement on Oct. 7.

Members of Bolles Lower School Whitehurst Campus Robotics teams OOF (Operation of Fun) and SUP (Savage Unknown Power) launched their monthly service initiative this week!

The teams are hosting monthly “Recharge your Battery” snack stations for operation workers and delivery drivers on campus. Members of the team made their first delivery of snacks and refreshments this week. They plan to continue their service work on the first Wednesday of each month, said team coach and teacher Beth Zerkowski.

As part of their core values challenge each season, the teams – including Ponte Vedra Beach Campus teams CIA (Council of Intellectual Aliens) and FBI (Future Bolles Innovators) – select a service project that will be central to their competition, training and planning through the competition season. The Grade 4 and 5 teams on the Bolles Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus, are going to build “GoBabyGo” cars for Brooks Rehabilitation Pediatrics.
