Bolles School issued the following announcement on Oct. 20.
During the recent fall break, Bolles eighth-grader Louis Joos ’26 organized food collection benefitting Mandarin Food Bank. Bolles peers Ethan Bathala ’26, George Dovellos ’26, Clay Magyar ’26, Dillon Brigman ’26, Liam Roberts ’26 and Kaden Townsend ’26 helped with the daylong service initiative, which yielded more than 500 “school snack packs” for children of families served by the local food bank.
Each snack pack included a granola bar, peanut butter crackers, a box of raisins and beef jerky. The boys prepared the packs at the Joos family's home on the first day of fall break.
Additionally, the boys collected and donated canned goods to help with Mandarin Food Bank’s annual Thanksgiving Giveaway. The organization distributes meal supplies to families so they can prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
The boys, driven by Bolles moms Lori Magyar and Samantha Joos, delivered the supplies to the Mandarin Food Bank where its director spoke to the Bulldogs about the food bank, its mission and the meaning of their donation and offered the boys a tour of the facilities.
Well done, Bulldogs! We are #BulldogProud of your service initiative.
