City of Flagler Beach issued the following announcement on Nov. 2.
The Rotary Club of Flagler Beach invites you to participate in the annual Holiday at the Beach Christmas Parade to be held Saturday, December 4th at 1:00PM. All proceeds from the Parade will be used to cover parade expenses. Any excess funds will be used for a local charitable purpose.
Line Up: Between 11:00AM - 12:30AM You will receive your entry number and map to your location on December 5th via email. Parade begins promptly at 1:00pm or when Santa lands on the beach.
Parade Route: East on N 6th St., south on A1A, west on S.6th St.
Awards will be given for: Best of Parade, Judges Choice, Marching Unit, Performances, Holiday Theme
For safety and clean-up reasons, the City of Flagler Beach and the Flagler Beach Police Department bans the throwing of anything from moving vehicles or handing out flyers, postcards, brochures, or literature. Candy can be handed out by accompanying walkers. Anyone caught throwing candy will be asked to not participate in any future parades.
Also, vulgar or inappropriate displays are prohibited by the Rotary Club of Flagler Beach.
