Bolles School recently issued the following announcement.
The Bolles Brain Brawl Team, which has been on a two-year competition hiatus due to COVID, jumped back into the ring January 22 and took six wins and two losses at the Duval County Varsity Round Robin Tournament at Sandalwood High School, according to faculty sponsor Jen Stover.
The competitive academic team, captained by Atticus Dickson ’22, beat Englewood, First Coast, Riverside, Baldwin, Paxon and Wolfson high schools in the competition and now moves to the Finals Tournament. The next competition will be February 26 at Sandalwod High School. The field upcoming includes 15 teams from around the country. Based on its finish in the Duval County round robin tournament, the Bolles Brain Brawl Team is seeded fourth going into the finals.
Students who participated on the Bolles team included Dickson and Tyler Schimpff ’22, Mac Walters ’22, Jeb Allen ’23, Max Frohman‘22 and Julia Peiris ’22.
