Bolles School recently issued the following announcement.
Bestselling author, inspirational speaker and ultramarathon runner, Dion Leonard and his faithful dog, Gobi, shared a special in-person presentation with students on both lower school campuses this week.
Leonard’s book “Finding Gobi,” is a nonfictional memoir of the story of his dog, Gobi, a stray desert dog who ran 77 miles of a 155-mile race across the Gobi Desert. Leonard is an Australian endurance athlete and runner.
Leonard and Gobi first visited with students on the Bolles Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus March 2, sharing experiences, authorship and stories of their adventures. On March 3, the author and dog were guests of honor in McGehee Auditorium, reading from his book and talking about their companionship. Gobi slept on a small bed just left of center stage the entire time.
Thank you for visiting Bolles, Gobi and friends!
