Bolles School recently issued the following announcement.
First-graders on the Bolles Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus presented “The Solar System Saga” on March 31 in George Hall. Written by Jennifer Larsen and adapted by
music teacher Stacey Posick, the play was a combination of lessons students have been learning in their classroom, science lab and music room. “We rocked the universe to
discover that everyone is important in their own special way and that we all need to work together to make the solar system work,” Posick said in her description of the play. She
said the performance was a collaborative work with science teacher Carolyn Houston and classroom teachers Brittany Hetland and Sara Ariav Heninger. Grade 1 students
designed the set during their science class. Song highlights included the “Space Walk Shuffle,” “Big Blue Marble” and “Mister Sun.” For photos from the show, visit our online
