The University of North Florida’s LGBTQ Center will celebrate Pride Month with a Comics and Queens Brunch featuring creative drag performances and LGBTQ+ comedians on Sunday, June 12, at the John A. Delaney Student Union.

The event will feature Sampson McCormick, a down to earth comedic force of nature and one of the most in demand voices of diversity in comedy for over two decades; Kathryn Nevets, “The Princess of Polk County” is an entertainer known for being Florida's best Bette Midler and the “Loud Mouth From the South;” April Fresh is a drag goddess who specializes in comedy, Broadway and all things 80s; Karrissa Wade, is the LGBTQ Center's Diva in Residence and the current Miss South Florida Comedy Queen; and Mr. Ms. Adrien is the current Miss National Comedy Queen, a recording artist and comedian.

Brunch and entertainment will begin at noon with a special VIP reception beginning prior at 11 a.m. Purchase regular or VIP tickets.

This event raises funds for the LGBTQ Center, to fund support educational programs, student support, scholarships, and leadership development that spread awareness and knowledge about LGBTQ issues, people, and experiences.

UNF established the LGBTQ Center in 2006 to provide a much-needed safe space for LGBTQ students. Thanks to the longtime support of community members and dedicated staff, the LGBTQ Center is thriving in providing LGBTQ support, education, and resources with a commitment to equality and respect for all people.
