Hazardous Waste & E-Waste Mobile Collection Event

This event is open to all Duval County residents. Proof of residency is required.

Types of Household Hazardous Waste accepted include:

• Paint (limit 25 gals per customer)

• Paint thinners, varnish, and paint strippers

• Household and car batteries

• Photographic chemicals

• Thermometers and thermostats

• Drain cleaners

• Pool chemicals

• Aerosol cans

• Pesticides, fertilizers

• Antifreeze

• Gasoline

• Acids

• Gun powder, ammunition, and fireworks

• Fluorescent bulbs and tubes, including CFL light bulbs

• 20-pound propane cylinders 

Types of electronic waste accepted include:

• Televisions (limit 3 per customer) • Computer monitors and terminals

• CPUs

• Keyboards

• Printers

• Scanners

• Stereo equipment

• Radios

• •VCRs,DVDsand Camcorders

• Desk and mobile phones

• Pagers

• Power tools

• Small kitchen appliances

(i.e. microwaves, toaster ovens)

• Health and beauty appliances 

Please note that these items are collected only from residences. Businesses should check for available recycling centers to arrange for the recycling and/or disposal of any E-Waste.

Residents of Duval County may dispose of burned out CFL light bulbs at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 2675 Commonwealth Ave, Jax. Call 387- 8847 for additional information.

There will be NO on-site shredding at this event.
