The Jacksonville women's lacrosse program and several members of the team earned IWLCA academic honors, it was announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Dolphins were named a 2022 Academic Honor Squad for their efforts in the classroom.
In order to be eligible for the award, the team must have posted a 3.2 or higher grade point average for the academic year. Jacksonville was one of 326 schools across Division I, II, III or NAIA to earn the recognition.
In addition to the team award, 23 members of the team were named to the 2022 Division I Academic Honor Roll.
In order to be eligible for the honor roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student, while have earning a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. The 'Phins were apart of 1,013 student-athletes honored by the IWLCA from 106 different institutions.
Those members named to the honor roll include: Alyssa Arnold, Hailey Blachly, Mackenzie Boyle, Molly Brock, Hannah Carolan, Madeline Cloyd, Kenedy Cooper, Beth Cornelius, Lauren Craft, Lauren Ellis, Hudson Gentile, Grace Hobson, Chloe Hoschel, Jenny Kinsey, Megan McCrea, Olivia O'Leary, Caroline Peterson, Megan Prescott, Emily Seiter, Kasey Stevens, Maddie Sturgell, Casey Sullivan and Addy Tysdal.
