Upper School Students Continue Honor Code Tradition

Continuing school tradition, Bolles administrators and leaders of the Bolles Honor Council hosted a special convocation for freshmen and new students on the Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus. This convocation is a public demonstration of students’ commitment to upholding the School’s Honor Code, which reads, “I will maintain my self-respect and respect others. I will not lie, cheat, steal or tolerate those who do.”

Honor Council Chairman Andrew McGraw ’23 opened the meeting by explaining why “Honor Above All” is the standard for Bolles students, who are expected to maintain the School’s integrity on campus, in the classroom and with their work.

Following McGraw’s short presentation, students were asked to approach one of three stations on the McGehee Auditorium stage to sign their name to the Honor Code pledge. The signatures will be collected and posted in a special display case in Bolles Hall as a reminder of the students’ promise to always adhere to the Honor Code.
