Congratulations to Isabella Farhat on being offered a scholarship to the University of Florida’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences for 2023-2024.
Isabella took part in the Florida Youth Institute’s residential summer program that introduces students to college majors and career opportunities pertaining to agriculture, natural resources and the environment, while exploring global food security. She stated, “I went into this program thinking that everybody was going to impress me,” Farhat, a rising senior, said. “We met tons of experts and tons of farmers, but when actually meeting these people, they more than exceeded my expectations. This week has probably been the best week of my life, by far. I’ve learned so much and met some amazing people.”
Isabella has a rigorous academic schedule for her senior year at BK, taking five advanced placement courses. She is a member of the English, Latin, Mu Alpha Theta, Rho Kappa, and National Honor Societies. Isabella is also involved with St. Vincent de Paul Society, BK Ambassadors, and is an Extraordinary Ministry of Holy Communion. She is a two sport athlete competing on the Cross Country and Track team.
Isabella plans to attend UF majoring in Agriculture with hopes of pursuing an Environmental Law degree.
