Swimming and Diving Wins Region, Prepares for State

The Bolles boys’ and girls’ swimming and diving teams swept the team titles at the Region 1-1A Championships, held November 1 at Bolles. The teams combined to win 17 events.

Individual event winners for the Bolles girls were Lila Higgo ’25 in the 200 IM, Katherine Meyers-Labenz ’24 in the 50 free, Simany Lee ’24 in the 100 free and Ella Gotham ’26 in the 500 free.

Bolles also won the girls’ 200 medley relay (Elisabeth Erlendsdottir ’24, Victoria Edgar ’26, Ella Chan ’25, Meyers-Labenz), girls’ 200 free relay (Lee, Meyers-Labenz, Chan, Higgo) and 400 free relay (Lee, Higgo, Blaine Huddleston ’24, Sophie Benkusky ’23).

Individual event winners for the boys were Kayden Lancaster ’23 in the 200 free and 500 free, Aidan Paro ’23 in the 200 IM and 100 fly, Seth Tolentino ’24 in the 100 free, Landon Kyser ’24 in the 100 back and Will Heck ’23 in the 100 breast.

The Bulldogs won the boys’ 200 medley relay (Carter Lancaster, Heck, Paro, Andrew Kravchenko ’25), boys’ 200 free relay (Tolentino, Kravchenko, Carter Lancaster, Heck) and 400 free relay (Anthony Whittall ’24, Tolentino, Michael McGrath ’23, Kayden Lancaster).

Bolles next competes at the Class 1A State Championship at the Sailfish Splashpark Aquatic Athletics Center in Stuart on Friday, November 11. A live broadcast will be available on the NFHS Network (subscription required).
