City offices closed for Veterans Day holiday

Recycling pickup rescheduled, no yard debris pickup

Offices for the City of St. Augustine will be closed on Friday, November 11, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday.  Recycling and yard debris collection schedules will be altered to allow for solid waste workers to be given the holiday off from work.

Wednesday yard debris pickup will be cancelled on November 9, 2022.  Recycling that is normally collected on Thursdays, will be collected on Wednesday, November 9.  Recycling that is normally collected on Fridays will be collected on Thursday, November 10. Please note, this schedule change is only for the week of Veterans Day.

Parking in city owned parking lots and on-street parking is free on all national holidays, including Veterans Day, except for the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument and the Historic Downtown Parking Facility.

Drivers are urged to confirm if a lot is owned by the City of St. Augustine and not a private operator as many of those lots have strict towing policies. Parking will be enforced for all vehicles parked illegally, including in areas reserved for delivery, franchised sightseeing vehicles and taxis, or vehicles on sidewalks or against yellow curbs.

Questions about waste pickup and additional information may be directed to the City's Solid Waste Division at 904.825.1049, Monday-Friday, during normal business hours; or contact Todd Grant, Utilities Director at 904-315-8499 or via email.

Media inquiries should be directed to Melissa Wissel, Communications Director, at 904.293.3307 or via email.
