Jacksonville University Athletics announced a partnership with RealResponse, the leading feedback and anonymous reporting platform for athletic organizations, on Wednesday.
JU entered the partnership to further its commitment to prioritizing student-athlete health and wellness, safety and experiences by giving student-athletes a platform to communicate with the administration in real-time, and if elected, confidentially. The platform also allows for the ability to centralize the department's most important documentation and conduct surveys regarding student-athlete experiences.
"We are very excited to announce our partnership with RealResponse, a company that prides itself on removing hurdles to communicate invaluable feedback that we need to create the best possible student athlete experience. This collaboration will surely enhance our student athlete well-being and holistic care," said Senior Vice President/Athletic Director Alex Ricker-Gilbert.
"I am grateful as the Vice President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee that JU Athletics has decided to partner with RealResponse," said Karley Dry, a junior member of the spirit squad. "This opportunity will allow student athletes, coaches and staff to continue to foster a safe community interpersonally and holistically.

Francisco Capellan, a redshirt-sophomore men's soccer player, serves as the Board of Diversity Awareness Representative, and commented, "I am thrilled with this new partnership between JU Athletics and RealResponse. I believe that with this partnership, not only Student-Athletes, but also coaches and staff within the athletic community will blossom into a safer community for all.
"It is of major importance for us that members of the athletics community here at Jacksonville University feel that their voice and opinion is heard and understood; real responses in real time," Capellan continued. Originally founded in 2015 and then expanded in 2020, RealResponse is a partner with more than 100 colleges and universities as well as with the NFLPA and USA Gymnastics, giving more than 50,000 athletes the ability to anonymously share feedback and concerns in a safe and secure manner. RealResponse is an online platform that allows for real-time reporting, surveys, and as a document repository. Organizations can also benchmark metrics to peer and national averages to identify areas of competitive advantage and vulnerability. Additional partnerships with international organizations, colleges and professional sports properties are expected in the coming weeks.
