Speech Team Dominates at Wolfson Tournament

The Bolles Middle and Upper School Speech Team competed against 25 schools and about 200 competitors on December 3 at the Wolfson High School Speech Tournament. Bolles earned its most impressive results in the young history of the team. Middle school students won every event in which they were entered, and the high school members also captured several event wins.

The following Bulldogs took home wins for the team:

  • Ada Ertekin-Taner ’27: Middle School Champion in Declamation
  • Cyrus Vaghefi ’26: High School Champion in Declamation
     
  • Mya Nargassans ’27: Middle School and Overall Champion in Dramatic Interpretation of Literature
  • Liv Bassin ’27 and Max Kovacocy ’27: Middle School and Overall Champions in Dramatic Duo Interpretation of Literature
  • Unsh Majithia ’25: High School Champion in Extemporaneous Speaking
  • Sohan Patel ’27: Champion in Middle School Impromptu Speaking
  • Chase Rathet ’27: Second Place in Middle School Impromptu Speaking
     
  • Esha Kasavaraju ’26: Champion in High School Impromptu Speaking
  • Aarav Gandhi ’26: Second Place in High School Impromptu Speaking
     
  • Adi Yadav ’28: Champion in Middle School Informative Speaking
     
  • Anushika Arun ’27: Champion in “Just Talk”
     
  • Veda Galipalli ’28: Champion in Middle School Oral Interpretation of Literature
The Bolles Speech Team consists of about 35 middle and upper school students and is coached by middle school history and speech communications teacher Bob Hutchings.
