Notice of Proposed Amendment to City of Palatka Comprehensive Plan

NOTICE is hereby given that the Planning Board and the City Commission of the City of Palatka, Florida, will consider first reading for the purpose of transmittal of the following entitled draft/proposed Ordinance 2023-06 to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, which contains proposed amendments to the City of Palatka Comprehensive Plan which are necessary to identify the capital improvements that are needed to implement the Comprehensive Plan and ensure that the adopted Level of Service (LOS) Standards are achieved and maintained for concurrency related facilities:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PALATKA, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF PALATKA COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO ADOPT THE 2023-2027 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS ELEMENT (“CIE”), WHICH INCLUDES CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS THAT THE CITY INTENDS TO FUND, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, WITH DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEES AND OTHER FUNDS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES, PROVIDING FOR THE TAKING OF IMPLEMENTING ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS; REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR NONCODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PROVIDING FOR SCRIVENER’S ERRORS

This matter will be heard at the Planning Board meeting to be held at 4:00 PM on February 7, 2023 and the City Commission meeting to be held at 6:00 p.m. on the February 23, 2023 at City Hall, 201 N. 2nd St., Palatka, FL 32177. Said proposed Ordinance may be inspected by the public at City Hall during regular hours of business. All interested persons are hereby advised of such consideration by the City Commission and all interested parties may appear at said meeting at said time and place and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance. This notice is given in accordance with F.S. 166.041.
