Bolles upper school students Selah Brown ’25 and Bubbie Brown ’26 recently participated in the Wolfson Children’s Hospital telethon on WJXT TV4. The sisters answered the phones and took down callers’ information for donations – playing a part in raising $70,000 for the children’s hospital.
Bubbie said she and her sister decided to volunteer for this year’s telethon through their connection with Stellar Energy, where their mother is the chief of staff. The company got involved with the telethon nine years ago after one of their employee’s daughters had a life-threatening emergency. The Wolfson Children’s Hospital mobile unit reached her quickly and transported her to the hospital.
“The staff on the unit were able to stabilize her, and the doctors at Wolfson saved her life,” she said. “The telethon is a wonderful way to help families of children in the same situation.”
Thank you to the Brown sisters for exemplifying The Bolles Way!
