On Tuesday, Feb. 18, former Fernandina Beach High School standout Samuel Simonds’ current college team, the Southern Wesleyan Warriors, lost 10-9 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Mars Hill Mountain Lions.

The game took place at Dr. C Keith Connor Field. This was their first matchup against the Mountain Lions this season.

The Warriors’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. at Dr. C Keith Connor Field against Mount Olive Trojans.
